DESCRIPTION:Calling all professionals with over 7 years or more experienc
 e in First Nation Housing! Are you ready to join a group of highly skill
 ed professionals? Join us for this one-day work session, explaining the 
 designation program and certification process through the Prior Learning
  Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) pathway. If you have 7 years or more 
 experience, you can fast-track your certification process through PLAR.\
 n\nA First Nations Housing Professional (FNHP):\n\n* serves their commun
 ity,\n\n* continues to develop their career,\n\n* and follows high stand
 ards in ethics and housing management.\n\nCandidates who will be attendi
 ng are expected to bring draft or final content outlined in the PLAR Gui
 de — such as a resume, related job descriptions, evidence of related e
 ducation (certificates, diplomas, etc.), and two sponsorship letters —
  and be prepared to work on building their PLAR portfolio. The purpose o
 f this session is to provide a forum for like-minded candidates to come 
 together and, with the assistance of a facilitator, learn about the proc
 ess and tips on the best steps to follow; go through the process with th
 e intent of completing a substantial part of the content necessary for t
 he required portfolio; discuss educational and experience that demonstra
 tes competency evidence; obtain instant feedback and work completed duri
 ng the workshop; and identify further activities that may be required to
