SUMMARY:Housing Governance & Leadership Workshop | Winnipeg
DESCRIPTION:Join us in this workshop which explores governance and leader
 ship practices with respect to delivery and management of First Nation h
 ousing. The workshop is designed for Chief and Council, members of the H
 ousing Authority or Housing Committee and housing staff. Key elements of
  the workshop include:\n\n• Understanding authority, responsibilities 
 and accountability as relates to housing.\n• Examining how housing res
 ponsibilities can be shared between the governing body (Chief and Counci
 l/Housing Authority or Housing Committee) and the administration.\n• A
 dvice on how housing providers can support informed decision-making on h
 ousing issues. \n• Suggestions on how a First Nation can support/enhan
 ce housing governance practices.\n\nIn order to increase participants kn
 owledge, skills and ability to support governance and leadership as it r
 elates to housing, presentations, case studies and large group exercises
  will be used. This workshop is supported by the FNHPA Housing Governanc
 e and Leadership Guide, which will be used during the workshop.\n\nTime:
