Job Description / Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics Management:
• Plan, organize, and coordinate training programs, workshops, webinars, and events. This includes selecting venues, managing invitations and registrations, arranging catering, and coordinating audiovisual equipment and materials
• Coordinate logistics for exam registrations, training sessions and events, such as scheduling instructors, arranging travel and accommodations for participants and speakers, and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available
• Provide administrative support to trainers, speakers, and participants before, during, and after training sessions and events
• Ensure that all training programs and events comply with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
• Support the Education Manager in the execution of the Prior Learning and Assessment Recognition (PLAR) process, including preparing briefing notes
• Maintain the Online Knowledge Centre by ensuring materials are relevant, up-to-date, and free of duplicates
Communication:
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, participants, and speakers to ensure clear expectations and smooth execution of events
• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies to attract participants to training programs and events
• Manage communications around the exam process, ensuring students have all necessary preparation materials
Training Design:
• Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and events.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for improvement
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and managing budgets for training programs and events, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to training programs and events, including attendee lists, evaluations, and feedback
• Assist in providing relevant reports on the FNHP program activities such as course registrations, examinations, course results, etc.
• Stay updated on best practices in training and event management and recommend improvements to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training programs and events
• Oversee the signing and formalizing of agreements, informing the Education Manager as needed
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Perform all tasks in a culturally responsive manner, aligned with FNHPA's vision, mission, and objectives.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including public and First Nation communities, Chief and Council members, administrative staff and FNHPA members
• Manage multiple deadlines and interruptions
• Work effectively and efficiently in a flexible office environment
• Possibility of occasional travel, requiring flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as necessary
Qualifications / Required Skills
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree specialized in business administration, marketing, communications, hospitality management, or a related field, or a related field
Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge:
• Computer literacy within a Windows environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of project management, data analysis and budget management

Assets:
• Hold a FNHP designation and be in good standing
• French bilingual or bilingual in other First Nation languages.
Salary: $46,000.00 - $59,800.00
