FIRST NATIONS HOUSING PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS – 2026 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTIONS

The First Nations Housing Professionals Association (FNHPA) is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2026 Board of Directors elections.

FNHPA is seeking committed housing professionals and leaders to help guide the strategic direction of the Association and support its mission of strengthening housing capacity in First Nations communities across Canada.

The following regional Board Director positions are open for election:

• British Columbia
• Alberta
• Saskatchewan
• Manitoba
• Ontario
• Quebec
• Atlantic

NEW THIS YEAR
FNHPA is exploring the addition of a new position on the Board of Directors in 2027 for Northern, Remote and Special Access communities. There will be further discussions for board members and FNHPA membership throughout the remainder of this year.

ELIGIBILITY

Nominees must:

• Be an active FNHPA Candidate or Certified Member in good standing.
• Be willing and able to serve a three-year term as a Director.
• Submit a completed nomination form.
• Provide a current photograph.
• Submit a candidate biography or promotional statement of no more than 300 words.

Nominations must be supported by two FNHPA voting members (Candidate or Certified Members) in good standing. In accordance with FNHPA policy, members may nominate an eligible candidate from any region; however, members may only vote for candidates within their own region.

 Nominations will close on July 10, 2026 at 12:00pm Eastern Daylight Time.
