Matrimonial Real Property
Transitioning for Progress:
The First Nations Housing Professionals Association (FNHPA) administers the Centre of Excellence for Matrimonial Real Property (COEMRP).
The First Nations Housing Professionals Association is pleased to announce the three-year transitional approach of the Centre of Excellence Matrimonial Real Property (COEMRP) previously under the National Aboriginal Lands Managers Association (NALMA). The COEMRP will find it’s new home with the FNHPA; Canada’s only national center for professional standards, certification, and services for existing and prospective First Nations Housing Professionals and those working in the Lands departments.
FNHPA will be responsible for educating and training First Nation Lands individuals and Housing staff as it relates to MRP with our primary role in developing education and training initiatives related to MRP to equip our housing professionals and communities with the support they need to educate their community members. The roll-out of the resources we are developing will begin in fiscal year 24/25. We will remain committed to providing the necessary tools and support to ensure successful implementation.
