Housing Internship for Indigenous Youth (HIIY)

The FNHPA will offer Course 100 of the First Nations Housing Professionals Program to interested HIIY interns that meet the entry requirements.

Prior to the course start date, sponsors will be provided with information on this program through a virtual call with Instructor, Roxanne Harper

Interns (and their sponsors) who have been accepted into the FNHP HIIY Intern Program Course 100 will participate in a virtual call to learn about and begin working on the Readiness Assignment. This Readiness Assignment will be used to improve understanding of the history of housing in the sponsor’s community. This assignment will also provide writing assistance, and other valuable items to support future assignment development.

After the Readiness Assignment is completed and sent in, students can begin their online course (FNHP 100: First Nations Housing and Infrastructure).

This course runs for 12 weeks. It requires Interns to spend 3-7 hours per week on coursework, and have consent and support from their employers and sponsors.
