Sponsorship and TD Upskilling Program
We're delighted to be rolling out a new FNHPA Sponsorship Program in partnership with TD Upskilling. We know that the cost of courses may have been a barrier in the past, but now staff from First Nations across the country will be able to apply to have their membership fees, course costs, exam prep and fees, course exemption fees, and Prior Learning and Recognition (PLAR) fees covered at registration instead of as a reimbursement.
Annual conference and workshop registration fees will still be covered on a reimbursement basis, pending verification of attendance.

Sponsorship is available for:
FNHPA Annual Membership
FNHPA membership with full access to all resources to develop your professional capacity for, and knowledge of, First Nations housing.
Limited to one (1) year per member, but up to three (3) years sponsorship if enrolled in the FNHP Certification program
FNHPA Annual National Conference
Registration for the education-packed FNHPA conference, providing sessions on relevant topics to enhance your expertise and develop your professional network.
Workshop (please identify the name and date of workshop):
Registration for an FNHPA workshop to enhance your expertise in the subject matter.
Prior Learning Assessment and Review Process (PLAR) Application Fee
Application fee to attend briefing session and assessment of a completed PLAR portfolio by qualified assessors.
FNHP Professional Exam and Prep
If eligible, fee to participate in briefing session prior to writing the examination, and assessment of the examination by qualified markers.
FNHP Certification Courses
Registration for the five courses (either online or in-person intensive) leading to Certification as a First Nations Housing Professional (FNHP).
FNHP Certification Course Exemption Processing Fee(s)
If eligible, the fee to process course exemption.
Applicants must:
- Be a First Nation band member
- Be employed by a First Nation or First Nation capacity building organization, or have served as an Intern in a First Nation housing department within the past two years
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate:
- A history of successful completion of previous courses/workshops related to their work
- An interest in improving housing in their community, who require financial assistance
