Topic 10.3: Interior and exterior home maintenance checks
Interior and exterior checks should be performed on homes each year to ensure that necessary maintenance is completed. This helps keep homes healthy, safe, and in good condition for longer. Home maintenance checks also increase the overall longevity of housing. Many First Nations employ housing personnel who support tenants and homeowners in completing these checks. Each First Nation has its own housing policy that outlines who is responsible for specific maintenance and repair tasks.
