Job Description / Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement a detailed regional management strategy aligned with FNHPA's goals and objectives
• Drive growth and expansion initiatives, identifying new opportunities for partnership and program development
Operational Oversight:
• Monitor and evaluate the regional performance against established key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas of improvement and development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, standards, and regulatory requirements within the region
• Manage regional budgets, resources, and expenditures in alignment with FNHPA’s goals and financial objectives
Regional Capacity Development:
• Oversee the implementation and strategic planning for the use of the FNHPA Housing Management Assessment & Learning Pathway tool
• Collaborate with the regional members to develop or design a strategic plan to address their specific capacity development needs
Team Management:
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team
• Provide leadership and direction to team members to achieve FNHPA’s goals and objectives.
• Set clear expectations and goals for each team member
• Provide team members with regular feedback on their performance
• Effectively implement FNHPA’s performance management program and provide recommendations for salary adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to FNHPA’s policies and procedures
• Proactively identify, address, and resolve HR situations and conflicts
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve FNHPA’s objectives
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness
• Foster a safe and healthy work environment
Relationship Building and Communication:
• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to understand their unique needs and priorities
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with First Nation communities, partners, and member, Staff, Board and colleagues.
• Provide support for task force, special committees, and partnership meetings under the guidance of the CEO
• Liaise with FNHPA members, Housing Managers, and other First Nations staff
• Identify and collaborate with potential local housing stakeholders and community partners.
Conferences and Events:
• Contribute to conference content and provide onsite assistance
• Attend and participate in conferences to promote the FNHPA
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Perform all tasks in a culturally responsive manner, aligned with FNHPA's vision, mission, and objectives.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including public and First Nation communities, Chief and Council members, administrative staff and FNHPA members
• Manage multiple deadlines and interruptions
• Work effectively and efficiently in a flexible office environment
• Travel is required, flexibility to work in various locations and schedules is required (as needed)

Qualifications / Required Skills



EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in marketing, public relations, social work, community development, or a related field
Experience:
• 5 years of relevant experience in First Nation programming (housing, health, social or education)
• 2 years of experience in a management position
Knowledge:
• Knowledge of First Nations housing services, challenges, and impact on community health
• Computer literacy within a Windows environment, including adeptness in database management, website navigation, and utilization of various social media platforms
• Proficiency in project management, data analysis and budget management

Assets:

Salary: $79,600 -$99,500
